The combination of the rich colors of the barn, contrasted with the tans and grays of the grass help to make this an outstanding shot. The texture of the siding is also appealing, and comes through with strength.

The quality of the composition makes itself felt through the placement of the horizontal fence, the highest part of the barn, and the strong diagonal of the roof. The viewer's eye is led to all the right places for maximum visibility of the subject.

I feel that the photographer has succeeded in bringing out the essence of an old building that seems to still show signs of its past glory. One can easily imagine the barn as something that the owner and builder would have been proud of, and doubly proud to see it still standing.

I love this barn, you can see it in my gallery as well. Cool coral that goes along with it.

It's a neat little pocket out there in the desert, isn't it?

You are quite welcome. When I first saw the thumbnail, it looked like it might be good, and the full sized picture did not disappoint. You hit the nail on the head.

It is a fantastic spot, nestled in the arms of a valley out in the desert- truely as remote as it looks!
